Is Make a Will Week your moment?
Some things sit quietly on the to-do list. Making a Will is often one of them.
It’s not urgent until, suddenly, it is. And even then, it can feel like a heavy thing to approach: paperwork, decisions, talking about the future in ways we often avoid.
But if you’ve ever found yourself thinking, ‘I really should sort that out’, maybe this is your moment.
So, what is Make a Will Week?
It’s a simple idea. For one week, partnering solicitors offer to help you write or amend your Will for free.
Instead of paying a fee to the solicitor, you’re invited to make a donation to a charity.
It’s a small, thoughtful exchange. You get professional support to put your wishes down clearly. And if you choose, you can make a gesture of care in return, whether that’s a donation now or a gift left for later.
Why now?
There’s never really a perfect time to make a Will, but having one brings a kind of quiet confidence. It means the things that matter to you will be looked after: the people you love, the causes you believe in, the details that tell your story.
Without a Will, the law decides where things go. And that might not reflect what you’d want.
What does it involve?
It’s surprisingly straightforward. If you choose to, you can book directly with one of Trevi’s participating solicitors:
- Woollcombe Yonge
- Tozers
- Howard & Over
- Kwill
Appointments are available throughout the week, and some offer phone or video consultations if that suits you better. Just mention ‘Trevi Make a Will Week 2025’ when you get in touch.
And the donation?
That’s entirely up to you.
If you’d like to make a gift in place of the solicitor’s fee, it will go towards supporting women and children through Trevi — a local charity offering safe spaces and specialist support for those recovering from trauma.
You might choose to donate now, or quietly include a gift in your Will. Either way, it’s a gesture that can ripple outwards, doing good beyond the moment.
