Trevi’s Jasmine Mother & Child Service Celebrates Ofsted Success with ‘GOOD’ Rating Across the Board

Jasmine Mother & Child has received a Good rating in all areas following a full Ofsted inspection.

Originally established in 1993 as Trevi House, later evolving into Jasmine Mother’s Recovery, the service has been shaped over three decades to become a specialist residential centre for mothers and their children. In 2024, Jasmine has recently been further adapted to reflect a more holistic, trauma-informed model, supporting women in recovery to rebuild their lives with their children by their side.

Following the first inspection, Ofsted commended the dedication and compassion of the Jasmine team. The judgement celebrates the high quality of support offered to families, highlighting the strength of relationships between staff, mothers and children.

“We’re so proud that the incredible hard work and care of our team at Jasmine has been recognised. That Ofsted have rated our practice with women and children as good is an emotional and affirming moment for us all. This is not just a celebration for Jasmine but for the whole of Trevi. Over the past year, teams across our services have worked together, sharing knowledge, covering shifts, and building a truly integrated support model for women and their children.”

Jasmine Mother & Child operates as part of Trevi, alongside Daffodil Family Centre, Blossom Women’s House, and Sunflower Women’s Centre.

Trevi is a nationally respected women’s charity based in Plymouth, providing safe and nurturing spaces for women in recovery and their children.

While Trevi is committed to continuing to learn, evolve and provide the highest standards of care, for now, the team is taking a moment to reflect on this significant achievement – and to thank every staff member, volunteer, and partner who made it possible.
