Fiona completes her 4 for 40 challenge in support of Trevi
To celebrate turning 40, Trevi supporter Fiona set herself a challenge: to take on four fundraising events in support of women and their children at Trevi.
Her 4 for 40 challenge tested her strength, stamina and determination across four very different events. Fiona summited Ben Nevis, completed the Bodmin Moor 10 Tors, ran the Rainbow Run 5k with her daughter Georgia, and took on the North Downs 50k Ultra.
The ultra challenge was not part of the original plan. Fiona had planned to take on the Bath 50k Ultra Hike, but after picking up a fracture in her foot, she changed her plans and later completed the North Downs 50k Ultra instead.
Through her challenge, Fiona has raised an amazing £1,450 for Trevi.
Reflecting on her challenges, Fiona said:
‘Thank you for all of the donations. This has exceeded my expectations and I’m so pleased to raise this money for such a good cause. I’ve enjoyed every minute so far! Even the relentless descent from the summit of the Ben!’
Every pound raised helps Trevi continue standing alongside women recovering from domestic abuse, sexual violence, mental health challenges, justice involvement and substance use.
Individual fundraisers like Fiona play an important part in sustaining our work. They raise vital funds, share Trevi’s name with new audiences, and show what can happen when people choose to act in support of women.
