our impact

Our operations have grown over the past 30 years, but we have always remained resolute in our dedication to some of society’s most vulnerable.

In 2020 we were chosen from more than 400 charities across the UK, as one of the 10 winners of the 2020 GSK Impact Award.

the difference we made 2022-2023

  • We supported over 1000 women with our services in 2022/2023.

  • At our Jasmine Mother’s Recovery rehabilitation centre, 83% of women left drug & alcohol free, 80% of children remained with their mother.

  • 96% of women supported through our Sunflower Women’s Centre said it was a lifeline, with 85% being able to move forward in life.

  • All of the women supported by our SPARK Assertive Outreach Project acknowledged that they had experienced a positive change in their lives; changes that they felt would not have been possible without that support. 97% agreed that they felt stronger as a result of working with the project.

  • Our Daffodil Family Centre made recommendations for 24 families that have stayed with us. All of our assessment
recommendations have been upheld in court, which means that our assessment success is currently 100%.

  • In 2022 Pause Plymouth reached 26 women.

  • In 2023, we launched our ‘Blossom Women’s House’ appeal to open a new women-only accommodation in Plymouth. This successfully raised over £614,000.

  • In 2023, we celebrated our 30th anniversary bringing together the charity founders, staff, supporters and beneficiaries to celebrate this amazing milestone at various events across the city.

  • We continue to secure significant media attention (BBC News, ITV Westcountry, BBC Radio, Local Radio ) highlighting the impact of our work.

Importantly, we also know that the work we do saves public money:
Over a 5-year period alone, Jasmine Mother’s Recovery (formerly known as Trevi House) represents an ethical and cost-effective saving to local authorities of almost £250,000 per family.
